The matriculation and diploma examination consists of three parts:

1. Diploma thesis, including presentation and discussion

2. Written matriculation and diploma examination:

  • German and/or English (standardised tasks, working time: 300 minutes)
  • Applied Maths (standardised tasks; working time: 270 minutes)
  • Subject-specific theory (non-standardised tasks; working time: 300 minutes)

3. Oral matriculation and diploma examination:

  • Language: English or German (you do not have to do the aforementioned subjects if they are done in the course of the written matriculation and diploma examination)
  • Special subject: specific subjects of the departments
  • Elective subject: subject with general education value such as Geography, History and Political Education, Economics and Law, or a specific subject of the department if it was not chosen in the aforementioned special subject.

 


 

Final exam at the technical college for mechatronics

The final exams consists of three parts:

1. Final thesis including presentation and discussion

2. Written exam:

  • German (non-standardised tasks; working time: 180 minutes)
  • Subject-specific exam (non-standardised tasks; working time: 480 minutes)

3. Oral exam:

  • Schwerpunktkolloquium: specific subjects such as mechanics and elements of mechatronics, electrical engineering/electronics, automation engineering
  • Elective subject: specific subject, which was not chosen for the Schwerpunktkolloquium in the field of economics and law and operation technology

 


 

Matriculation and diploma examination of the evening classes

The final exams consists of three parts:

1. Diploma thesis or a project of 35 hours

2. Written exam:

  • German or English (non-standardised tasks; working time: 300 minutes)
  • Applied Maths (non-standardised tasks; working time: 270 minutes)

3. Oral matriculation and diploma examination:

  • Language: German and/or English (you can choose the same language as in the written part)
  • Special subject: specific subjects of the subject of the diploma thesis or the project
  • Complementary subject: specific subject which was not in the special subject exam
