Sun Flower: Our sunflower unfolds when the sun shines and adjusts itself towards the sun in order to collect photons. The generated energy is stored in a storage system in the entrance area at the Heinrich-Klepp-Platz.

Photovoltaik-Carport: A "highlight" of our school’s new mobility is the carport’s photovoltaic glass-glass-modules as a roof. It is situated at the HTL1’s driveway on Lastenstraße. Two e-cars can be parked in this carport (type2-plug in, charging capacity 11 kW). The energy is generated from the photovoltaic system on the roof of the carport. Additionally, there are seven lockable parking places for e-bikes which are equipped with electric filling stations too.

A distinctly higher energy output can be achieved through the usage of the reflecting light of the floor with modern transmitted light photovoltaic cells in comparison to conventional modules. With the generated electric energy of eight sunhours two vehicles can drive approximately 200 km!

Change in mobility: Many teachers at our school drive electric and hybrid cars. The headmaster also drives a 100% electrical car. Teachers, who live in Klagenfurt, use e-scooters during the summer months in order to come to school environmentally friendly. In total there are seven charging points with type II plugs and four charging points with three-phase current connection. They can be found on the school grounds or nearby. A car sharing park space and ten parking spaces for "Next-Bike" are planned for the future.

For our students, the school owns e-bikes, e-scooters and a Renault Twizy for educational purposes. In our labs and workshops students get in contact with the fascinating world of e-mobility.

We also have an electric filling station that can be found at the workshop parking space on Jessernigstraße. Two electric vehicles can be charged at the same time with charging capacity of 11 kW.

We also have a "small" electric filling station (with two schuko sockets with a charging capacity of 3,7 kW) for e-bikes and e-scooters at the front of the KFZ building.
